Nicole Stephens

Compassion, caring, networking, empowering, supporting and advocating for  people  with a life limiting condition as well as their carers  comes naturally to me  as an End of Life Doula.
Many years ago, my  youngest brother was killed in a road accident
on his 21st birthday. This experience ignited in my  passion to
know more about death, dying, grief and spirituality that has continued
throughout my  life.
In the recent past, I  has worked for the Beechworth Cemetery, coordinated
and spoken at the “What to know before you go” Death Literacy Workshops for the Indigo Shire,
and am  a Palliative Care Volunteer for Albury Wodonga Palliative Care.
I  place my  focus, energy and passion, through our business “End
Stage Matters” along with my colleague Rose Sexton.We  support  carers and  people at the end of their lives to have a peaceful death with active listening to what they want, compassion, support, options, advocacy and caring.
I  lives on a farm in North East Victoria with my  partner David and our  gentle black dog Buddy, who is my  constant companion. I  love walking
the hills around the farm, and taking photos of the constantly changing
landscape, animals, plants, and fungi. I  delights in cooking for friends and
family and sharing produce and plants from my garden. I  love people and
love listening to their stories.
One of my  greatest accomplishments has been raising three children who
have grown into beautiful engaged adults, of whom I  is immensely proud of.
