I have a passion for assisting people to live well. The experience of supporting family members at the end of life leads me to realise a desire to support others during what can be a confusing and distressing time. My personal experience has lead me to believe that having more knowledge and understanding of dying leads to increased comfort, peace and confidence for all involved.
I completed my doula training with Preparing the Way – End of Life Services and Training and the Australian Doula College in 2016. I am a member of the The Australian Doula College, Palliative Care WA. Prior to becoming an EoL Doula I à worked as an Occupational Therapist for 30 years.
I see my role as a doula to be an informed companion and guide. I support the person and their loved ones to travel their own journey, and to find meaning and comfort within the end of life experience.
